Hopefully your child has come home from school very excited after receiving an assembly inviting them along to a Knight Frank Schools Triathlon Event!
From your child’s school you should have received a PDF ‘Parent Invite’ which has all the details you need for registering your child’s team’s interest, but please see below for a simple breakdown of how the registration process for the event series works.
If your child’s school has not received an assembly, and you would like to know how to get their school involved, please click here.
Create a team and choose a creative team name - These should be teams of four children from your school. These can be mixed gender teams. Children from Year 3 and 4 can mix, the same applies for Year 5 and 6, and Year 7 and 8. (NB: we actively encourage children of all sporting abilities to take on the challenge of a triathlon, but please be aware they must be able to swim 50m to ensure the safe running of the event)
Select one parent to register your team’s interest - This will be done online via the correct event page on our website. The lead parent will need all participant names, as well as their parent/guardian's names and email addresses
Wait to hear if your team has been successful - Please be aware that our events have limited capacity. We do our very best to give a place to all the teams who register their interest before the deadline given to participating schools. 3 weeks after the deadline date given in your school’s ‘Parent Invite’, you will receive an email to confirm if your team has or hasn’t been successful.
How to Secure My Team’s Place?
In the likely event that your team is given a place, we will individually email all parents within the team to invite them to register their child for the event.
Their registration must then be completed by the deadline outlined in the invitation email in order to secure your team's place at the event. It is important that each individual child’s parent completes their own child’s registration form so we have the correct parent contact information in the case of an emergency. Your team’s place is not secure until all four team members have completed the registration.
What Happens Next?
Once fully registered in the months running up to event day, we will keep you updated via emails with further information on all the exciting event day details, alongside inspiration and support for your child’s fundraising journey. But in the meantime, feel free to check out our FAQs and learn more about how Restless Development is empowering young leaders worldwide (click here!), and start thinking if you will fundraise as a team or an individual!
