Thousands of children take part in our Schools Triathlon events. Volunteering on the day is a great way to show your support for the work that we do and all the children taking part.
What you’ll do
You’ll be welcomed as part of Team Restless and help us to make sure the day is a huge success for everyone involved! Expect high energy and excitement when you volunteer at these events.
Roles could include meeting and greeting all the athletes, helping us at the registration desk or handing out the medals to all our excited finishers. There will be lots to do!
We have volunteer shifts available where you can either volunteer for the full day, 07:30-17:30 or half a day for a morning shift, 07:30-13:00 or an afternoon shift, 12:30-17:30. Please note that these timings are an approximation so allow for some flexibility on the day.
Benefits of Volunteering
There’s heaps of reasons why you might want to get involved in a Schools Triathlon event. By being part of Team Restless you will;
● Be part of a rewarding experience that makes lots of young people happy and allows them to reach their potential
● A chance to meet new people and make friends and have fun.
● Gain new skills in events or develop existing skills you have.
● You’ll receive a free volunteer t-shirt to wear with pride on the day
● We’ll provide you with complimentary refreshments.
● Student volunteers can also request a letter of recommendation from us which can support them with further education applications.
But don’t just hear it from us. Cathy & Ian are two of our valued volunteers. Here’s what they had to say about their experience volunteering at the events
Is the role right for me?
This role is great for a one off volunteering opportunity where you can make a real impact on the day. No experience is needed for this role. All that we ask is that you bring bags of energy and enthusiasm as the day can be long.
We need volunteers who are warm and welcoming and also a team player who are willing to get stuck in.
You’ll be outside and on your feet a lot too so volunteers will need to feel comfortable in this environment.
